Usually I say Valentines Day is S.A.D. (single and depressed or single awareness day).

I always seem to break up with guys in january....
or start dating right after february.

I've had one valentine in my life and it was my first boyfriend cheekytrousers. Thanks Alan for the Valentines Day box you gave me that year :) It was so very sweet (no pun intended).

So being the sappy fool that I am I decided that while Mr. Of Pants is here I should take advantage of it and formally ask him to be my valentine this year after a 4 year valentine drought.

He said yes (well is was more of a YES *SMILEYFACE*).

So I'm on the other side of the fence this year. The happy side.

Say what you will about Valentines Day, how it's all marketing, and it means nothing.
I like it because sometimes you need that push to do something romantic.
Or a reminder if you haven't in a while.
Or you need a reminder that you are loved.

So today, I get to be romantic and gushy and I have a valid excuse.
It's Valentines Day.
And I have a Valentine.

Even if it is just a temporary stand in valentine, he's a super hot ridiculously fun temporary stand in valentine who held my hand all day sunday and made me feel special.
