Feb. 18th, 2006 12:04 pmI'm the saddest boy in the world right now.
But I'll get to that later.
Last saturday, drew and I went to the sfo airport to pick of dj freddy, king of pants.
He was spinning that night at bootie, and then again last night at "kandy" so he figured he'd make a week out of it.
He spun an amazing set at bootie and had everyone dancing. We were both staying over drew and orme's and ended up staying up ridiculously late laughing and joking, which ended up with me gathering the balls to roll off the couch and on the air bed for some spoonage.
I am so glad I did.
We spent the entire day sunday together, and then monday night, then tuesday night and so on.
Sunday was the smash up derby and thrill kill cult show at the dna lounge. Smash up derby was amazing! They put on a great show. It felt nice to have someone to hold and be all sickeningly snuggly with.
He held my hand as we walked down the street. I've never had the chance to do that before. It may seem ridiculous but I've always wanted to.
Fast forward to me getting the flu just in time for IBR. Friday night was "kandy" presented by bearbar and kumaSF. We were all really nervous about the location, and whether or not people were going to show up.
I was scheduled for the first round of "kandy shuttle bus" duty and when we pulled up to the host hotel in a giant camoflaged bus with a dj spinning in the back, and saw a HUGE line of bears waiting we knew we were going to be JUST fine.
Kandy went amazingly well. I had a BLAST! Freddy's set brought down the house when he spun to close the night. His mash ups got the entire bar dancing....especially the last mash up of Little Bow Bow's "I want candy." It was the perfect song to close his set and the crowd ate it up.
I danced alllllll night long even though I was so sick. It was great to meet all the kuma kids from vegas and a few from seattle, portland, and LA.
I'm writing this on the bart, on my way back from bringing freddy to the airport. It was an amazing week, and felt really nice to connect with someone. He's romantic, funny, adorable and affectionate. Its just my luck that he doesn't live here. I can never seem to get it all.
