Mar. 15th, 2006 01:44 pmLately a lot of people have been throwing this term "A-List Bear" around, and using it as a negative connotation.
I've been thinking about it a lot, and I like that term. But for me it's actually a positive.
The way I see it is that everyone has a list of friends. Some have a long list, and some have 3 or 4. To me A-List Bears are the bears that I see that seem to be on the top of everyone's list. They are the friendly, non-judgemental, social bears who are respected and admired by those around them. Not in a "I praise you" but a "I enjoy your company" kind of way.
Not to name names but people like
bvig01,
tonymorg,
dhbearguy, and
bigreddee, are all people who I consistantly see making people happy when they are around.
If I had a list, and it was broken into sections on the basis of who made the most people happy just by their mere presence, and who I see causing others to smile and laugh....those names would be in the A section along with many others.
Because on my list, the people who are often brought up when the term "A-List" is used in the negative, are not even worth noting.
It's all about the spin of things I guess. Why waste your time describing people NOT worth categorizing?
So if I call you an A-List bear, take it as a compliment.Or go tell me to go fuck myself. Whichever. It's my hot body I do what I want!
