Mar. 25th, 2006 08:49 pmLately I have been relatively quiet here on the LJ but my brain has been a swirling mess of chaos.
No.
No one drugged me.
I think.
Last weekend I was supposed to go to Seattle for free since my best friend works for South West Airlines. As his "Partner" (giggle) I get 4 free trips a year. Well I scheduled the trip to happen friday afternoon thru monday night. By thursday the tickets still had not arrived so I started to panic and ended up splurging and paying for the trip out of pocket.
But it was so very worth it. I got to leave THAT night (thursday) and stay until Monday night.
It had been 6 months since I had seen Emily/
nobora after spending the last 2 years pretty much being inseparable. I think the best thing she said to me was:
Emily: Richard, I'm not very excited you're here.
Richard: WHAT??!?!?!
Emily: No...I mean...it is just so natural that you are here. Like it just feels right.
Richard: I love you.
Emily: I love you too poopers.
Ok I'm not sure if she said Poopers, but I'm sure it was a funny nickname.
I hung out with her all friday, where we went bowling, and drank coffee, and I got to meet her amazing new boyfriend. Saturday afternoon we all went to eat burritos the size of small babies (no really. They have a picture of a small baby laying next to one of their burritos. It's creepy). Food. Coma. Like. Whoa.
We went home and watched about.....4 HOURS of family guy and then got ready to head to FRANKENBOOT/
frankenboot!!!
Frankenboot, Seattle's Monthly Mash Up Party hosted and thrown by
seattlewolf/DJ Freddy, King of Pants, was AMAZING!
Great crowd, everyone dancing, amazing mash ups, and a super hot DJ that I kept making eyes at. ;)
It was great to see Freddy again, and I half danced all night, half TOTALLY DJ GROUPIED OUT and stole kisses from him between tracks.
Whatever. Don't judge me. I couldn't help myself.
I slept over Freddy's and we spent all Sunday together. Slept in, went out to brunch, and relaxed. That boy consistently has me in stitches. We met up with Emily and Estrid and went to Archie McFee's where I bought a few Parasite Pal patches and 5 packs of NKOTB trading cards. That is THE best toystore I have ever been to.
Freddy and I went back to Emily's for a homemade feast of Vegan Stuffed Shells which were EXCELLENT. That bitch can COOK.
Cleaning is a different story, but COOKING...DAY-UMMM. ;)
We said goodbye and headed back to Freddy's since Emily had to get to work very early the next day. We relaxed and spent a quiet evening lounging and listening to music and talking.
Freddy can go from silly, to serious and deep like no one I have ever met. It was great to both joke and debate seriously while lying there together relaxing.
Ugh.
Why do I finally find someone who is ACTUALLY emotionally available, funny, sexy, smart, and talented.....but doesn't live here?
I'm not sure how he feels about the whole situation but it frustrates me to all hell.
Freddy makes me happy, he makes me laugh, and I am 100% comfortable being around him. I've only spent a little time with him, but from what I have seen he is definetely someone special and someone I could see getting serious with.
IF he lived here or I lived there.
But neither of us is moving any time soon, and neither of us has the money to visit all the time.
So it's a stalemate.
Bah.
It makes me sad because he makes me really happy, and I think I could make him happy, and that boy deserves amazing amounts of happiness in his life.
But I guess we'll just remain how we are; Friends who hold hands and make out and what not.
It's better than nothing I guess.
I said goodbye to Freddy monday afternoon and Emily took me back to the airport. So very depressing.
But it was a great weekend, and I had so much fun! And I really needed to feel loved and see Emily (not that I don't feel loved here in SF because that is SO very far from the case) and get away from things for a few days.
But now I'm back.
Who's up for the Lonestar tomorrow? ;)
