Apr. 10th, 2006 07:42 pmMy body is screaming at me today and my joints and muscles feel like unoiled rusty hinges.
So basically that means I had a fun weekend.
Friday I went with the Moviebears to the Castro Theatre to see "Adam and Steve" which turned out to be hysterical!
The plot was a little generic gay movie-esque for me, but the writing was excellent and the one liners easily quotable.
Afterwards I traversed back to Albany with the attempts to do laundry and cut my hair, but my body shut down and I went to sleep. The week had caught up with me fast.
The next morning (ok ok afternoon) when I woke up I did all my laundry, cleaned my room, swept the floor, and buzzed and trimmed my head and beard. Ah the sweet feeling of productivity.
I didn't even make it to the city until around 7pm to meet Dave to go to a movie....
which is funny because Dave organizes a movie to be seen EVERY week....and to go to a movie, not as the moviebears, and not as a Castro Bear presents event, was kind of comical.
I'm really glad I have a friend who enjoys going to see new movies as much as I do.
On the way back from the movie, riding the F-Line, Dave said, "My lease is up, you need a place and a roommate, I can easily move, and you practically live with me already, we should live together."
And that was that.
So
dhbearguy and I are going to be party centralroommates! I can't wait! I feel 100% comfortable around him and I haven't had a roommate like that in a long time.
(Everytime you walk by "Dick and Dave's" you're guarenteed to hear us belting out show tunes....all. the. time.)
So that brightened up my weekend and apartment search in general. I was afraid I was going to have to move in with a stranger who may or may not welcome me as a "part of the apartment" and treat me like a burden taking up "THEIR space."
I crashed at Daves, woke up, went to brunch, looked at the most AMAZING 2 bedroom apartment EVER (oh please oh please we want we want SO badly) and then headed to the Lonestar.
I played pool there for the first time EVER. Ever since I saw "California Bears" and have witnessed what has gone on on that table, the thought of having to concentrate on a game of pool seemed impossible.
I lost both games to Dave, who "never plays."
Right.
I ran into a bunch of LJers including
kitchenbeard,
owenthomas,
sf_luke, and
bearzbub.
( Mom....no more reading for you! The rest of you can continue... )
