bigfundrew's post got me thinking...

Just how many people who read my journal ACTUALLY know what I do for a living??

So I figured I'd post something about that.



I'm a motion graphics designer/illustrator/general designer/DVD menu Designer for a production company based here in San Francisco, www.mekanism.com

I did a lot of the design for the new BP commercials that are on TV right now (SAY HEY!) I helped smooth out the design of the babies, I designed a lot of the background, the gas stations, the car they drive in, and the ending shot.
(no I didn't do any of the 3d animation)

I also did a lot of the design and some of the animation for the Lion and Gazelle commercial for Microsoft's ZUNE mp3 player. I did a lot of the secondary charater design, and the background design.

Since I am a full time employee I tend to work on a lot of Pitch work, and visuals for work that we are trying to get. A lot of it never ends up anywhere, and the stuff that does is usually redone by freelancers due to me already moving on to the next pitch.
