A picture a day keeps the vanity away.

It's amazing how tired you get of seeing your face after 172 days of taking self portraits. Although it is making me stretch my creativity. When you HAVE to take pictures of the same thing 365 times, especially something as familiar as ones likeness, it forces you to look beyond the visual, and focus on what the photo represents, the underlining meaning, and the overall color, lightness, and shadow of the piece.

When I take my daily self portrait, I force myself to forget the previous days picture (usually I can't remember anyways so it's not that hard). It's fun to see the juxtaposition of 2 or more days in a row when you put the pictures together in a sequence. Some days I will go in a million different directions, and other days I will continue a subconscious theme.
