ca_thunder and I met at the Eagle for a drink before heading over to Bootie. One Heavily-Poured-Eagle-Style vanilla vodka and coke (VVandC™) while chatting with bearsgonewild who I always love running into. Also chatted with btai and badger900 as well as a few others who are escaping me.
We headed over to bootie and said Hi to all the surprisingly drunk and hostile Marina Chicks™ as Paul and I headed for the Guest Entry Line.
The guy with the guest list was trying to explain to these 2 girls who were trying to get in and not stand in line that they aren't on the guest list. "But our friend is in there, and we tried to get on the list online but the page kept crashing. Come on! We're totally cute! We'll bring the attractive level inside up!"
The guy with the list: "First of all, there is no online guest list so nice try. And that line would work better if the guest list guy wasn't gay."
Paul and I both "Amen Girrrrrl"'d him and we all high five-ed as the girls scampered away.
Inside we both made a bee line for the upstairs coat check and bar. That bartender pours like she works at the Lone Star gettin' bears drunk!
One very strong VVandC™ later we were both pretty buzzy and silly. It was SO good to see Paul out and about, he's going through one of those earth/life shattering break ups that come out of no where.
2 more VVandC™'s, much socializing, and seeing Adrian & Mysterious D and discussing the visuals I am making for Bootie, Paul and I headed for the LoneStar to see Bruce the Bartender.
By this point I was QUITE drunk. It's been a LONG while since I've been that slap happy and stumbley.
At the Lonestar Paul ordered me one last VVandC™ but I barely got half way through it before I was switching to water.
Luckily Chance was there so he drove Paul's car to bring him and I home.
Hmmm... I never did follow up with Paul to see how Chance got home.....or IF he went home at all. ;)
Sunday morning I woke up still drunk, splitting headache, and vomiting every 5 minutes. Not cute.
PLUS I was supposed to go to brunch, and then go to WORK.
I skipped brunch and slept, and then went to work at around 1:30pm. I was at work until 2am working on a pitch for Playstation3 that was on Tuesday.
Got into work the next morning at 9:30am, and worked until Midnight on that pitch. It came out great, and I was really commended by my boss for basically being the only person who stuck it out late both days.
He got me a little appreciation gift for all the hard work, but I can't say what it is. He told me to
"Please not Say anything to other People about it."
I really love my job, and I love that I get to work on cool shit, although sometimes I have to come in on odd days and stay late sometimes.
This week has been SO ROUGH with my sleep schedule all messed up and it still feeling like last week's work week has yet to end.
Thanksgiving is coming up so that's exciting. Then I'm DJing the early slot for Basket (come on down to celebrate my birthday, especially if you can't make it on the 30th to my themed party.)
It's gonna be ridiculous!
