Dec. 17th, 2007 05:42 pmI rarely do Music posts on here because my taste in music is both TOTALLY VARIED and sometime embarrassing.
But recently on tv they have been playing this JCPenny commercial where all these people get a gift handed to them while walking down the street. The woman in the rain gets an umbrella. That sort of thing.
The commercial was so very Holiday season bullshit but the song they chose was beautiful so after a little google-ing (verbed! pwned!) I found out it is by an incredible Folk band, "The Weepies."
CHECK THEM OUT.

their harmonies are amazing and they sing like it's just effortless to sound that good.
I especially love their song "Somebody Loved" off their album "Happiness." I tried to find a youtube video of it and all I could find was this slice of CHEESY CHEESE. And since I LOVE the office and both Jim and Pam I thought it was totally fitting.
Both their albums on itunes are great and they are totally chill feel-good folk.
I get so sappy and sentimental around the holidays.
