SLR plunge
I think I've decided that with my upcoming cruise, and the fact that I love taking photos, AND that I've been saving my DJ pay for a while....
I'm going to take the plunge at get an SLR camera.
I'm thinking the Nikon D80 is a good "First SLR Camera" and it looks like there are some decent price packages that include a lens, a tripod, a case, a SD card, an SD card reader, and some other accoutrements. I'm not really looking for some mega-beast of a camera, just something that isn't too bulky, and comes with a lens.

kitchenbeard 's food photography, bobo_dreams 's photos, as well as various photos here and there, really has me wanting to join in on the fun.
So I'm gonna do it.
