(no subject)

I've been here exactly one year!!!!

As of today I have been in the SF/Bay Area for exactly one year! I can't believe it went by so fast!  A year ago today I was pulling up to my Uncle's house, ready to move in, find a job, meet new friends, and start my life.  One year later, I am living in the city I wanted to, I found a job I love (although stressfull at times), I met SO MANY INCREDIBLE FRIENDS I don't even know where to begin, and my life is ontrack.

To everyone who supported me, gave me a place to stay, bought me dinner when I was broke, or gave me a sympathetic "I've been there!" when I first got here, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I don't think I would have survived here without you.

But there is one person I owe so much too, and I know all I ever talk about it my fabulous roommate but.....

Dave, immediately after meeting me you undressed me with your eyes you bonded with me so quickly and I felt like I had someone as my new stalker that I could really rely on and who would help me out when I needed it (which seemed and seems to be ALL THE TIME).  You opened up your single bedroom apartment to me and gave me a place I could go if I couldn't make it home to Albany.  You didn't want me stuck in a tiny bedroom, with crazy roommates, so you offered to move into a 2 bedroom with me on your own accord.  I couldn't be happier with anyone else as my roommate. I'm proud to be your wife friend. Thank you.


So this Monday my Mom goes in for her Gastric Bypass surgery.  It may seem weird, but she's really taken to a lot of you here on LJ, and has told me to tell you that all your support has really helped her cope with a lot of her health issues, and that she loves to read your posts and see how you are doing.  Please send her all the warm thoughts as she tries to get her weight down to help with her diabetes.
